Strawberry Pies! What a project that was! We sold over $600 worth of pies. A sweet lady in the next town up the highway gave us all our berries for free. THANK YOU SUE!!! We had orders from all over town plus a few RE-orders.

Though this was a major endeavor, it was definitely profitable. However... it did nearly ruin my furniture... A bucket of over-ripe strawberries spilled onto our sofa! I caught the sofa stain right away, but I didn't realize it had soaked through the entire sofa and onto the carpet for WEEKS. I didn't move the sofa for over a month, and when I did I almost had a heart attack. Good thing for carpet shampooers. I never would have gotten the stains our of the couch or the carpet otherwise. (They are still there a little bit, but nowhere near this bad!) I figure we have to get used to stained furniture and carpeting though, if we're going to have two little kids around here! I suppose this was our initiation!
