We got an email from our POA in Ukraine this morning telling us that our appointment letter is on its way here! That's good news and bad news and exciting news and SCARY news! Here's why. We asked for a June 1-18th appointment date, and even though we included a pre-paid airbill from FedEx for them to send us our appointment letter, they have put it in Ukrainian Snail Mail. SCARY. For all we know we could get that letter the day before our appointment. (I'm hoping that statement was a far-fetched exaggeration!) Also, the weather has changed again, and the ladies at the National Adoption Center (where they head up all the appointments, etc.) have decided that they won't tell POA's the dates of their families' appointments. So, our POA is as in the dark right now as we are. Thankfully they at least told them that our letter is in the mail.
