Still shopping for airfare. We've checked 7-8 travel agencies looking for the best deal. We'll hear from most of them by Tuesday, so we'll be buying them then.

After we heard of our appointment date last Tuesday, another family in our adoption group got their appointment date the next day. Their appointment date is June 3! I'm so thankful that we had more preparation time than that. That so easily could have been us.

Another blessing of the week was that our POA in Ukraine said that I don't have to redo my medical letter!!! Even though my physical last year was August 15, because we had the letter notarized and apostilled in February, I'm safe until February. YAY!!!! All we have to redo are John's employer letter, our marriage cert's and our state crime letters. ANYTHING but that medical letter! Pretty homefree now, and let me tell you, it is a wonderful feeling! Our POA was my favorite person all day on Thursday when I found that out! (Don't worry, John COMPLETELY understood!)

It has been so sweet how happy people have been for us. A dear lady from church had to call my mother-in-law go gush over how happy she was to get my email announcing our travel date. She said she'd cry if she'd called me. (Well, at church, she had to give me a bear-hug anyway. She couldn't say anything, but I think the hug said it all. Such a sweetheart she is!) Nice to see people do on the outside what I've been doing on the inside all week! :O)

The beds are finally home, and they are BEAUTIFUL!!! Minor technicality that they are about two inches too long to fit in the bedroom the way we'd planned, but my genius brother says it will be a piece of cake to "saw it down." (Sounds pretty scary, but I know he knows what he's doing...) *Gulp* ;O)

Have a wonderful Memorial Day, everyone.
